Who to contact

Product Garage, based in Dublin, Ireland, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and the Product Garage archive site.

For a privacy question, to change your email preferences, or to exercise a data right, write to hello@productgarage.club. Please say “Privacy request” in the subject so we can direct it to the right person.

What we collect

The Join and Bring a roadblock forms ask for your name, phone number, email address, country of residence, company and designation. Social profile links are optional. A roadblock submission also includes the problem, why it matters now and any extra context you choose to provide. Older archive event forms may also ask about your experience, availability and interest in a room.

When you book a call, Zoho Bookings asks for your name, email address and contact number. You can optionally tell us what you would like to ask. Zoho also records your chosen date, time and time zone. Zoho Calendar checks Debata's busy times and receives confirmed appointments; Zoho Meeting creates the video link.

Questions entered into the site's quick-answer panel are matched in your browser and are not sent to Product Garage or a chat provider. If you choose “Chat with a person”, the live-chat service loads and receives the messages and contact details you decide to send, together with technical information needed to operate the chat.

We receive the choices you make about email updates and a WhatsApp invitation. Our website also stores your optional analytics choice in your browser. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may collect information about pages visited, device and browser details, and an approximate location inferred from your connection.

Please do not put sensitive personal information or confidential information you are not authorised to share in a roadblock, booking question or live chat.

Why we use it

  • Join request: we use your details to record your interest, contact you about relevant rooms and send the email updates you expressly choose. Email updates rely on your consent. You can withdraw it by emailing us.
  • Roadblock: we use your details and brief to review your request, reply, and plan a possible discussion. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have initiated. We do not publish your brief or share it with a room without discussing it with you first.
  • Live chat: when you choose to chat with a person, we use your message to respond to your enquiry. The chat provider receives it to deliver the conversation. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to the enquiry you initiated.
  • Call booking: we use your booking details to schedule, host and follow up on the call you request. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to that request. Booking and meeting details are made available to you and Debata.
  • Archive event forms: we use application details to review participation requests for the event described there. The form asks for your agreement to this review. We use next-room details to send the session updates you request.
  • WhatsApp: if you ask for an invitation, we may send you a joining link. Your choice is voluntary; joining is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve the site only after you accept optional analytics cookies.

We do not use these form submissions for automated decisions about you.

Analytics choice

Google Analytics uses cookies including _ga to recognise visits. We block the Google Analytics tag until you accept. Rejecting analytics does not affect the forms or the rest of the site. Your choice is saved in your browser and can be changed with at any time.

When you withdraw analytics consent, we stop future tracking and attempt to clear Google Analytics cookies set by this site. Clearing browser storage can also reset your choice. We do not use Google advertising tags on this site.

Who receives it

Our organising team receives form submissions. We use Resend to deliver the form email and receipt, our website hosting provider to run the site and forms, and Google only when you accept analytics. Call booking details go to Zoho Bookings, Zoho Calendar and Zoho Meeting for scheduling and the video link; Debata receives the appointment. The booking page is hosted on a Zoho domain. Zoho's own privacy policy explains its handling of information. If you open live chat, tawk.to provides the chat service and our organising team can read and reply to the conversation. See tawk.to's privacy policy. A provider may process information outside the European Economic Area; where required, we use the transfer protections available under our provider arrangements.

We do not sell the details you submit. The Product Garage archive may contain older event forms; its submissions are also sent to the organising team through our email delivery service.

How long we keep it

We plan to delete a live chat, roadblock enquiry, call booking or archive event application 12 months after our last contact or the event, unless a room proceeds, a legal obligation applies, or you ask us to remove it sooner. For people who join for updates, we keep contact details while you remain subscribed and aim to remove inactive contacts after 24 months without engagement. We keep a minimal record of a withdrawal request where necessary to honour it. Email delivery records and backups may remain for a limited period under our providers’ retention settings.

If you ask us to delete your details, we will also check the copies in our submission inbox, live chat, booking tools and email service.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive your information; restrict or object to its use; and withdraw consent. Write to hello@productgarage.club. We may need to confirm your identity before fulfilling a request.

You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. We would welcome the chance to address your concern directly first.
